Welcome to Heritage Buddies

A project by The Urban Historian, supported by Renfrewshire Council’s Culture, Heritage and Events Fund (CHEF) 🗓 November 2025 – December 2027

Renfrewshire is home to some of Scotland’s most fascinating heritage graveyards — with origins reaching as far back as the 8th to 11th centuries. Many of these sites hold visible burials from around 1600 onwards, each stone and inscription offering a unique window into our shared past.

Heritage Buddies invites you to become part of this exciting journey of discovery. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help survey these historic sites and uncover the stories of the people who shaped our communities.
